Here's their website; http://www.chaffhaye.com

It looks like chopped up grass hay and comes in a 50lb bag that
they say is the equivalent of 1.5 bales of "good quality hay."
Out here the price is $16/bale. The price for regular alfalfa or
grass hay is about $15/bale.

I got a sample but haven't fed it yet.

Has anyone tried this stuff?

I tried the sample and 2 out of the 4 loved it.

The other two are at a neighbors trimming grass for them.

I might buy a big bag and see how it works.

I think I'll try it. If it is as they say, one 50lb bag is the
equivalent of one and a half bales of hay, it would be cheaper
than the hay. Easier to handle too.

The neighbor the llamas are at are a retired couple that lives in
a motor home. They have, maybe, a half acre fenced in and I loan
them a couple of llamas for a few weeks to mow the grass for
them. They love it. They give the llamas treats daily and
carefully clean up all the poop to fertilize their fruit trees
they planted from seed.

Well that sure works out pretty good for everyone then.
